Children are welcome to attend part time although we do ask for a minimum of two sessions per week to ensure continuity for the children. We like to be flexible in our approach however and aim to accommodate parents requests as often as possible. We are also happy to try and fit the sessions around any other nursery commitments your child may already have.
Do we offer government funded places?
Yes. We have a limited number of funded places available. Please email us for further information.
Do we go out in all weathers?
Absolutely! The children go outside in all types of weather unless conditions are deemed hazardous by our staff. As long as they are dressed appropriately, it's never a problem. We also have indoor spaces available however, should we need them.
What if my child needs the toilet?
We ask that all children are to use the toilet before their Forest School sessions begin. If your child needs the toilet during the session we have our outdoor toilet huts on site and our staff are happy to assist your child if they require it.
Does my child need to be potty trained?
No. We have nappy changing facilities onsite.
Where is The Woodland Nursery located?
Both our of nurseries are situated in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, South East London. Opening times and session times vary between the two sites depending on your childcare requirements. Please click the links below for more information on each nursery.
Are we Ofsted registered?
Yes. Our Ofsted Unique Reference Numbers (URN) are:
Blackheath: 547776
Kidbrooke Park: 2502948
How do we manage risk?
We encourage the children to learn to manage risk themselves by letting them set their own rules and boundaries within our supervised guidelines.
How do we utilise technology?
We use the popular online learning journal 'Tapestry' to record your child's outdoor experiences, education and development. Parents are able to see special moments throughout the day and view their child's progress.
