We also require a deposit of £200 to secure your child a place (to be paid before the commencement date).
Children are welcome to attend part time although we do ask for a minimum of two sessions per week to ensure continuity for the children. We like to be flexible in our approach however and aim to accommodate parents requests as often as possible. We are also happy to try and fit the sessions around any other nursery commitments your child may already have.
Do we go out in all weathers?
Unless conditions are deemed hazardous by our staff, the children will go outside in all types of weather including rain and snow (which the children love!). We do have an indoor space to use if we can't go outside however.
What if my child needs the toilet?
We ask that all children are to use the toilet before their Forest School sessions begin. If your child needs the toilet during the session we have rudimentary facilities on site and our staff are happy to assist your child.
Where is The Woodland Nursery located?
We are situated in Blackheath, South East London and have two different locations to choose from, depending on your childcare requirements.
Children are dropped off at their chosen site and should be dressed in their waterproofs. We run the sessions from either one of these sites or from local woodland, parks or farms. We provide all transport for children once they have been dropped off by parents or guardians and are fully insured.
Are we Ofsted registered?
Yes. Our Ofsted Unique Reference Numbers (URN) are:
Kidbrooke Park: EY2502948
Do we offer government funded places?
We offer the 15 hour and 30 hour government funded places at both of our locations.
Please contact us for further details.
How do we manage risk?
We encourage the children to learn to manage risk themselves by letting them set their own rules and boundaries within our supervised guidelines.
How do we utilise technology?
We use the popular online learning journal 'Tapestry' to record your child's outdoor experiences, education and development. Parents are able to see special moments throughout the day and view their child's progress.
