Frequently Asked Questions

In this section we try to answer some of the more commonly asked questions about our Forest School Nursery. If there is anything else you would like to know please get in touch using our Blackheath or Kidbrooke Park contact form or to reserve your child a place, fill out our reservation form.

​Do we go out in all weathers?

 

Absolutely! The children go outside in all types of weather unless conditions are deemed hazardous by our staff. As long as they are dressed appropriately, it's never a problem. We also have indoor spaces available however, should we occasionally need them.

What if my child needs the toilet?

​

We ask that all children are to use the toilet before their Forest School sessions begin. If your child needs the toilet during the session we have our outdoor toilet huts on site and our staff are happy to assist your child if they require it.

Does my child need to be potty trained?

​

No. We have nappy changing facilities onsite.

​

Where is The Woodland Nursery located?
​

Both our of nurseries are situated in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, South East London. Opening times and session times vary between the two sites depending on your childcare requirements. Please click the links below for more information on each nursery.

How do we manage risk?

​

We encourage the children to learn to manage risk themselves by letting them set their own rules and boundaries within our supervised guidelines.  

​

How do we utilise technology?

 

We use the popular online learning journal 'Tapestry' to record your child's outdoor experiences, education and development. Parents are able to see special moments throughout the day and view their child's progress.

Do we offer government funded places?

​

Yes. We have a limited number of fully funded places available but also offer part funded places. Please email us for further information.
